This journey has taught me how to create bold, legible images designed to stand the test of time.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBut long before I became a tattoo artist, I was already passionate about the music that still accompanies me today: punk, hardcore, and metal, and alternative music more broadly.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI played in bands, spent time at concert venues, met musicians who became friends, and watched certain projects grow over the years. It’s an environment I know from the inside, long before I started working in it as an illustrator.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn fact, some of you may already know my work without realizing it.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAbout ten years ago, Nicolas Exposito, whom I met at concerts supporting the local underground scene, asked me to create artwork for Landmvrks, when the band was still in its early days. This illustration, a cicada that became iconic, has accompanied the band over the years and continues to do so today, on stages around the world.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMore recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Soul Splitter, a rising young band from the south of France formed by longtime friends. Two projects nearly ten years apart, yet connected by the same passion and the same desire to create meaningful imagery.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eToday, I want to continue this journey by collaborating with other bands and artists who share that same passion. The earliest memory I have of an image capable of leaving an instant mark on me goes back to my father’s old vinyl records. Those covers, their compositions, their creatures, and their atmospheres were my first encounters with images capable of telling a story before even hearing the music.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p3\"\u003eLater came comics, notably the work of Lee Bermejo, then genre cinema, horror and science fiction films, metal, and an entire visual universe where the image can become visceral, dark, heavy, and brutal. It is this sensation that I seek to transcribe today through my visuals. Creatures, bodies, textures, and atmospheres that don’t just seek to be looked at, but to leave an imprint.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p3\"\u003eI am particularly honored to join Maison Chat Noir and to be able to participate in this adventure. Through the clothing and the communities we work with, I hope to be able to contribute my own stone to the edifice and help create pieces that have as much character as those who wear them.
